So finally I have uploaded some pictures from my first couple weeks in Ireland! First up, the campus. We were blessed with amazing weather the first two days- even wearing shorts at times! I am glad I got the chance to snap a few before the rain came in.
The gates to campus!
University of Limerick sign in front of the Library and walkway into the center of campus.
The dreaded "Main Building" (aka - an even more confusing version of the UWSP science building). With 7 floors (G, O, M, 1, 2, 3, and 4) and 5 sections (A-E) it can be hard to find your way. Especially due to the fact that many of the sections are not connected. Plan on arriving a little early, and if you get lost, just go outside and try to guess the closest door that connects to the room you are looking for.
The walk to campus every day. Trees cover the pathways and everything is always so green!
A pretty little town on the outskirts of the campus on the sunniest day we have had! And one of many enormous trees off to the side.
Kilmurry Cemetery
Another enormous tree in the courtyard of the Main Building.
Plassey House - I do not know too much about the history of this building yet, but know that it now serves as a museum for many famous paintings.
The campus has quite a few beautiful fountains and sculptures that make for a really great walk between classes.
Trampoline club setting up their equipment for orientation week!
And finally, Plassey Village! Where I am staying this semester. The "flats" house 4 or 8 students and are known to be the most homey of the villages on campus.
So cool Jess! I am especially loving your great tips. :)
